Foxes Lair June-July Highlights
Patches of colour appear in the bush, particularly on sandy and gravelly soils.
Highlights are pink and white Honeybush Hakea shrubs and the 3 species of purple pea flower Hoveas, with the occasional bright yellow wattle.
Look for small delicate tube flowered Astrolomas and Leucopogons and the inconspicuous but fascinating Greenhood orchids. In July showy yellow and orange Dryandra flowers appear.
Look for beautiful pink Frasers Dryandra flowers on red soil on the Claypit Walk near the Claypit.See map below.
The Granite Walk winds through green growth, granite boulders and rock ferns. Look for bullets at the rifle range bank.
