Ecotourist Highlights in November

The wildflower season has finished and it is often too hot to walk during the day, but opportunities remain for bush experiences.
• If you are staying in Narrogin, consider an evening or early morning on one of the five walk trails to enjoy the bush and birds, and get a glimpse of local kangaroos.
• It is good time to see endangered marsupials Barna Mia Nocturnal Animal Sanctuary tours: Friday, and Saturday (except for public holidays
• Best daytime picnic spots are Railway Dam and particularly Yornaning Dam.
• Go on a numbat, echidna and bird spotting drive through Dryandra Woodland (get a guide from DCVC office).
• Consider a an evening or break of day climb to see the sunrise/ sunset from Yilliminning Rock. Check out the stunning red-flowered Kunzea plants growing in cracks in the rock.
