Located 37 km east of Narrogin, Toolibin Lake is a RAMSAR listed wetland, and one of the few ephemeral freshwater lakes left in the WA wheatbelt. When the lake periodically fills it attracts many breeding waterbird species. At the lake there is an interpretative walk, a picnic area and toilet, but camping is not permitted. Do not take pets as baits are laid in the reserve to protect the native wildlife from feral animals. Look out for the late August to early October orchid rich spot on the roadside opposite the entrance to the lake. An extra 8km of unsealed road goes past the quaint Toolibin cemetery and interesting winter/spring sandplain wildflowers overlooking the lake. For a most day trip, consider a 90km round trip via Wickepin to see Albert Facey House. Check whether there is water in the lake
