Greetings fellow Foxies,
After Alan convinced me that I had mistaken a wasp as an ant, he photographed the said ant in the image below capturing a wasp. This is Podomyrma adelaidae, a tree dweller from a group called muscle ants. Note the large upper leg muscles used for tree life. Today I saw them on no less than five wandoo trees over a short distance. We see so little of our surroundings!
